As a Growing Individual and Responsible Filipino Citizen, What Interests Me Most?

As growing individual and responsible Filipino citizens, we play an important role in our society. We, the youths, are the hope of this country; the incoming leader, a better one, that will change the wrongdoings of today to good and better ones for tomorrow.

I am a growing youth and future responsible citizen. My field of interest is about the latest issues that are happening in the Philippines. We must be aware of what is going on around us. Often times I view from the television and hear from the radio the debate and arguments of the leaders of this country. The opposition against the government. When will these two merge and help each other for the development of our country? Another one is the fighting of the politicians against each other. They are killing one another. Perhaps because of their political or personal problems. But some lives were included in their problem, innocent people.

Corruption is one of the causes of poverty. We all know that the money or funds of our country were being corrupted. And we are the one who are suffering. Who were involved? They are also declaring that we are having a better economy. Peso is more valuable this time. But why do products maintained their original price? Why don't they lower it so that we can feel that we are having a higher economic status?

We are all Filipinos and we all want to be involved in the development of our country. We are here not only for ourselves but also for others, for our fellowmen. Be a good citizen because someday, somehow we might be given a very big responsibility. Let us be the future leader of this NICE country.

JS Promenade ‘08

Juniors Seniors Promenade 2008. It happened on February 15, 2008 at Ilocos Sur National High School Gymnasium. We started the prom at about 3:00 and ended around 10:30 pm.

This was my second time to attend a ball. I was very glad to see my classmates with their shining beauty. My first dance was Alexis. After my first dance, we went outside because it was hot. Mariane, Apple, Haydee Marie, and I went to Math Park and talked with each other about the prom. When we heard that the pageant has started, we immediately went back inside the gym. We were shocked because they were all shouting, cheering, and clapping with each contestant every time they speak and introduce their selves. Miss JS Prom was Jaycelle and Mr. JS Prom was a gay and I don’t know his name.

I was very happy because after the ball ended, Rechiel and I did a plan so that Apple will dance with Pakol, her crush. I didn’t go home. I slept over at Gaile’s house.

The new learnings that I have learned this time is all about movie making using the Windows Movie Maker. I have learned on how to create a movie by capturing pictures, audio/ video, and songs.

I have viewed an example of a movie and it was very nice because the movie was a song that was sung by some government officials of the United States. It was a lipsing. A familiar person attracted me to watch that movie. He was Mr. George W. Bush.

There were many problems that I encountered in making a movie. One of these is lack of time to do my project because I don’t have the chance to do. Another one is the song that I used in my project. I was hard up in looking for that song.

In solving my problem, I sacrificed my time. I did my project 2:00-3:00 in the afternoon. I did not attend my class. I was not able to finish it that’s why I continued it during our period. I downloaded a song in a computer shop and saved it in a USB. We were not able to download in our computer room because there was no lime wire.

Moving on, I will use my time wisely: I will finish my projects on time, if possible, ahead of the time. I will study harder. I will submit all the requirements on time.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! GOODBYE 2007! HELLO 2008!

As day passes by, I've observed that days grow shorter and nights grow longer. It's a new year, new world, for me.

Last year, we created our own web design and we'll present it to the class this year. I've learned that in making a web design, we must be very careful in every tag that we place because a little mistake makes a very wrong outcome of the project. So we checked very well our web design, we read between the lines. We were informed that we'll create again another, and it is a movie using the windows movie maker.

This year, we started making our next activity. I'm hoping that I will enjoy this windows movie maker.

Moving on I will study harder, do my best, listen during class discussions, and explore more things, discover and make HISTORY. ///

I've learned many things about HTML; heading tags; text alignment; tag attributes; HTML text formatting tags; preformatted tags; font attributes; and on how to apply font color, size, face, and background color.

Due to the malfunctionalities of the computer that we're using, we're delayed in making our activities so a computer technician came to repair the computer.

I was very careful in placing the right tag in our activities because if one tag is incorrect it will greatly affect the HTML document.

I am very proud! My notes are now complete.... :)

Ehem...
The first quarter examination was not so hard for I got a high score. I was contented, of course. My second blog did not appear on my blog. I didn’t know what happened. That’s why I had a low grade in Computer IV. It was only 86 and it was my lowest grade in the first quarter.

Second quarter… New discoveries… New information…

During the first three weeks of our discussion, I’ve learned about HTML (Hypertext Mark-up Language), the basic HTML tags, the function of angle brackets, and how important it is. The knowledge about these tags helped me in doing my activities.

I’ve experienced searching some blog lay-outs. But if I apply these lay-outs, according to my classmates, the pictures will be erased. So, I preferred to change my lay-out next time.

I forgot to copy the information and the important terms that were written on the board. This is the only problem that I’ve encounter during this period. In order to solve this, I will borrow some notes from my friends and copy it so that if ever we will have a test, I will have something to review.

1. What are the learnings or discoveries that I have learned?

I've learned what a blog is; its uses and functionalities. I've also learned on how to create a blog, how to post a blog and how to upload photos.

2. What are the problems and challenges that I have encountered?

I've encountered problems and challenges like time pressure during our quizzes. I was not able to get a high score during our last quiz because i forgot to review my notes.

3. How did I address these challenges?

I promised to my self that I will review the next time so that i will not be disappointed to the result of my quizzes.
